Entrance Requirements

With an age range of between 14 and 18 years, King’s College Online is looking for students with a strong desire to learn and to succeed*.

Eligible students will be expected to be entering or already in years 10/11 (Grades 9/10) for International GCSE and years 12/13 (Grades 11/12) for A levels.

*Students resident in New Zealand are only able to enrol for AS and A level study and must be 16 years or older.

Admissions Process

King’s College Online is a non-selective school and ensures that every student is treated as an individual to fulfill their true potential. A good level of spoken and written English is required to ensure students can access learning effectively, which is assessed as part of the admissions process. Recent school reports and any relevant examination results are also reviewed, to assess current levels of attainment and aptitude for learning.

Follow these simple admissions steps:

Step 1

Complete the application form and pay the application fee – take advantage of the introductory offer with the €100 application fee waived for all students wishing to join in September 2021.

Step 2

Complete the English assessment*. Whilst the school is non-selective, all lessons are taught in English, so students need competency in English to ensure successful learning.

Step 3

Submit the two last school reports and any recent exam results so teachers can assess what support might be needed to maximise success at King’s College Online.

Step 4

Attend an online admissions consultation so we can learn more about you to ensure the programme meets your needs.

English language capability is assessed through the Oxford Placement Test - with entry requirements of B1 or higher for the International GCSEs (equivalent to IELTS level 5) and B2 or higher for A levels (equivalent to IELTS level 5.5).
